Ingredients for Banana Cake Recipe

Bananas 225 grams
Refined flour (maida) 1 2/3 cups
Sugar 170 grams
Lemon rind 2 teaspoons
Eggs 3
Baking powder 3/4 teaspoon
Soda bicarbonate 5 grams
Butter melted 3/4 cup
Vanilla essence 2 teaspoons
Fresh cream 30 grams
Lemon juice 1 teaspoon


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Peel the bananas and put them in a mixer jar and blend into a puree. Add the sugar and continue to blend. Add the eggs, one at a time and continue to blend.

Step 2

Add the lemon rind and blend for half a minute. Sift together refined flour, baking powder and baking soda into a bowl. Mix the melted butter to the flour mixture. Add vanilla essence, cream, lemon juice and mix. Add the banana mixture and blend it well.

Step 3

Pour into silicon moulds three fourths full. Place the moulds in the preheated oven and bake for thirty to forty minutes. Remove mould out of the owen and cool marginally before you de-mould them. Serve warm or at room temperature.
